ArtHouse Project Launches The ‘Remembrance In Relief’ Exhibit At Greenwich University

Our In-House Creative Arts Programme - ArtHouse Project, launches the ‘Remembrance In Relief’ week-long exhibit at Greenwich University!

Over the past year, over 20 participants, all Single Homeless Project service users and staff, have worked together with potters and psychologists to grapple with one of society's most challenging, and rarely spoken about topics; grief and death.

Funded by Hospice UK as part of the Dying Matters Campaign, ‘Remembrance In Relief’ is a collection of hand-made ceramic plaques made to celebrate their own lives or someone loved or admired, inspired by the concept of the English blue heritage plaques.

The exhibit will run from Friday 17th - 23rd March

Greenwich University’s ‘Project Space Gallery’ 10 Stockwell Street, SE10 9BD

One Ceramics Participant shared, "Death used to be something I sort of avoided talking about, but this course had helped me to process it a bit and to spend time thinking about my Grandad"

Alongside the ceramics collection this exhibition will also feature Arthouse participant's recent creative work on a range of visual art courses. This includes original prints, films and paintings, highlighting the diverse offer of our in-house creative arts programme.

Arthouse works with over 200 people a year across SHP’s adult and young people’s services. The programme offers opportunities to engage in practical arts courses, explore creative training and work with local art organisations to showcase participants work.
