Why I Like Walking Barefoot - Client Stories

There are many reasons why I like walking barefoot.

First of all, my feet feel fresh against the cool grass and I enjoy being with the nature.  I breathe deeply the fresh air. Barefoot helps to feel more free and less constrained. Rather than just walking through the park on my way to somewhere else with my mind on other things, I feel much more present and connected to the natural surroundings. The atmosphere is very calm. The wildlife in the park is very tame, friendly and entertaining!

Walking barefoot makes me calmer and more relaxed. My thoughts become less and my mind becomes clearer. I feel as though my mind is more concentrated effortlessly, with less distracting thoughts. I become more forgiving of myself and others naturally without having to try. Whereas usually I might overthink things or be self-critical. Afterwards I feel as though some stress has been broken. More awake and in a better mood, and my responses are more spontaneous and natural. I feel kinder to others and feel more appreciative of their kindness, also.  Even if it's just small things.

Also, my body feels more relaxed. For example, a headache may become less or my stomach may feel less inflamed. I notice I have more energy afterwards - I might notice that my walking is more casual as if it takes less effort, or feel that I can walk further because I'm less tired. I always feel fresher afterward - similar to having taken exercise. I feel lighter.

Although I might feel a bit silly at first, it helps strengthen my resolve and makes me feel more secure in myself, as it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks of me there - I know I have good reasons to go barefoot! Thats quite freeing if you tend to be a self-conscious person.

I intend to walk barefoot more and more as the benefits are many.
